General Syllabus or Class Objectives

Religion -

- Help children know Jesus and help them to be good Christian citizens.
- Share my faith with my student.

Language Arts -

- To teach children to read and enjoy writing simple stories.

Math -

- To have a love of math
- To be able to compute basic facts
- To understand the concepts of time, money, and number sense

Social Studies -

- To celebrate and teach about famous people (Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Cesar Chavez, ect.)
- The various holidays and seasons
- Introduction to the map and globe
- Talk about people and their cultures

 

Science -

- Introduction to animals, plants, living and non-living things, care of resources, the weather, and the seasons.


Homework Policies and General Class Rules:

Homework

- Read every night (4 book reports a month)
- Print and practice spelling words on Tuesday (return work on Wednesday)
- Spelling test on Friday

3) Keep hands, feet and objects to your self
4) Keep your voice down
5) Proper care of classroom
(Rewards for the student who observes the rules)
