Organizations: St. Bernadine of Siena in Woodland Hills. Is active as a Eucharistic Minister and cross bearer along with other activities.

Reasons for teaching: "To share my faith and to help little children be prepared of 1st grade. I enjoy watching children have the joy of learning.

General Syllabus or Class Objectives:

Religion -

1) Simple prayer and songs
2) Love of Jesus through bible stories and discussions
3) To be a caring/loving child to each other and the earth

Language arts -

1) Recognize/write and know sounds of the alphabet
2) Recognize some sight words
3) Experience the joy of reading

Math -

1) Count to 100
2) Recognize and write numbers from 1-30
3) Simple addition and subtraction

Social Studies -

1) Holidays and celebrations
2) Famous American people
3) Community helpers

Science -

1) Care of the earth

- Read 4 books per month
- Letter of the week (cut out letters/words that begin with letter of the week. Turn in on Friday.)
