General Syllabus or Class Objectives:

Language Arts - English for all grades:

- General improvement of grammar skills, writing and vocabulary in preparation for high school
- This includes writing structure (style and spelling)

Reading -

- Generally wants students to improve their understanding of the novel, short stories and poetry.
- Introduction to elements and term associated with literature analysis. Through improve critical thinking (students will broaden their comprehension skills.)
- For 7th and 8th grade we look beyond the simple story to investigate creative style and the "human element" in some major authors.

- Homework should be neat and legible
- Should be complete and handed in on time
- Students are encouraged to use their resources (ask questions and ask for help when needed)
