Each grade level has their own supply list that has items for the upcoming school year. Please bring the items with you to class on the first day of school. All items are required unless otherwise noted. Please carefully read and follow any instructions and notes on the list. Please contact your respective classroom teacher for the supply list.
Saint Ferdinand Catholic School expects the students to follow the uniform policy on all school days in keeping with the pride we have in our school and ourselves. It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that students come to school in proper uniform. If students violate the uniform policy, parents will be contacted to bring the child appropriate clothing. Constant uniform violations may result in disciplinary action. Room parents play a critical role in each classroom. They are selected from a applicant pool at the beginning of each school year. Each teacher will communicate the expectations and ways to help for their respective classroom. For any questions, please contact the appropriate teacher for each grade level. Parking: parents may park in the city parking lot immediately south of the school, on the surrounding streets or in the church parking lot entering through Pico Street (the Coronel driveway to the church lot will not be accessible to car traffic for safety reasons).
Morning Student Drop-off: students must be taken to the hall prior to 7:30 am for Early Morning Care (a fee is charged for Early Morning Care) or to the lunch shelter after 7:30 am. Students are not allowed to be in other parts of the campus unsupervised.
After School Student Pick-up: all students must be picked up from their classrooms prior to 3:00 pm or in the lunch shelter between 3:00 pm – 3:15 pm. After School Care begins at 3:15 pm. Families whose children are left after 3:15 pm and are not enrolled in the After School Care program will be charged the daily rate for After School Care.
PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION
Every school parent is a member of the Parent Teacher Organization. The main functions of the Parent Teacher Organization are to raise funds for the school’s current operational expenses, to promote parental support for the school programs, and to increase mutual understanding between school and parents. The membership of the Parent Teacher Organization shall solely include the pastor or designee, the principal, the parents or legal guardians, and the faculty of the school. As a Catholic school, Saint Ferdinand Catholic School welcomes the gift of time and talent that our community may offer in service to and support of our school. This may include parent volunteers completing service hours, alumni and people of good will who believe in our mission. In order to ensure the safety of our students and the integrity of our academic program, all volunteers are required to sign in and out with the school office personnel. Volunteers must wear a visitor badge in a visible location at all times while on campus that identifies them as authorized to be on campus during school hours.
