Student Life
At Saint Ferdinand Catholic School, academic excellence, faith formation, and student safety are of utmost importance. Our academic program is rigorous and challenging to every student. Advanced level courses are available in middle school curriculum, ensuring that even the most gifted students will be intellectually challenged.
There are more than 200 students enrolled at Saint Ferdinand Catholic School during the academic year. The conduct of daily life at Saint Ferdinand Catholic School is based on principles of mutual respect and cooperation.
Students are encouraged to accept responsibility, express themselves openly and develop a strong sense of self-awareness and self-confidence. Boys and girls adhere to a dress code designed to distinguish themselves by their accomplishments rather than by their appearance.

ACADEMIC DECATHLON
The Academic Junior High Decathlon is an academic competition designed for Catholic students in grades 6-8. Ten total events take place within the one-day competition. Two of the events are collaborative. Team efforts include the 8,000 points Logic Quiz and the 8,000 points Super Quiz. The other eight events are individual events that are each worth 1,000 points including Religion, English and Spelling, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Current Events, Social Studies, and Fine Arts (Art and or Music).

ALTAR SERVERS
The honor and privilege of becoming an altar server is offered to 5th through 8th grade students. All our Saint Ferdinand Catholic School students in grades 5 through 8 are eligible to become altar servers for Wednesday and Sunday Masses at Saint Ferdinand Catholic Church. A student wishing to be an altar server must attend and complete training classes and pledge to be responsible for the dates when he/she is scheduled to serve.
